Snapchat's Bob Marley Lens

The new filter released on April 20 of late reggae icon Bob Marley sparked an outrage. The lens allows anyone using Snapchat to replace their face with Marley's. The filter added dreadlocks, a crochet slouch cap, altered some facial features, and darkened skin tone. By altering the skin tone, Snapchat unknowingly started a racial controversy and people were largely offended because they considered this to be a racist lens. Snapchat has received many complaints and has removed the Bob Marley lens but hasn't made a statement regarding the controversy.

Facebook now adds new reactions to posts

Now you can do a lot more than simply "like" a post on Facebook. Aside from liking, commenting, or sharing something, people now have more options to represent there reactions toward certain posts. Some of these reactions include "love," "wow," "sad," "angry,"and "haha." "Yay" was also included among these reactions but was later removed because many people didn't quite grasp its purpose and therefore didn't use it or use it correctly. In order to get to these reactions you must hover over the like button if you are on a computer or hold down the like button on a mobile device. Once you do that you will be presented with the options and can choose the one that best matches your mood towards the post.

A Certain Date May Cause Your iPhone to Crash

Your iPhone can permanently crash if you set the date to January 1, 1970. If you go to your calendar and settings, January 1, 1970 is as far back as you can go. That's because Unix time began on that date at midnight which would make that date zero or the starting point. Anything before that would be considered negative in time and, therefore, causes the phone to go haywire. The iPhone works immediately after the date is set back but powering of the phone and then on again results in the screen freezing on the apple logo.

College students are Tindering for "friends"

In a recent survey of 200 college students, 73% ranked Tinder as their favorite dating app. However, they claim that they don't use Tinder for dating. More than half of them said that they use the famous app to find local friends. On the other hand, a few students claim that the other only say that they use the app to find "friends" because they are embarrassed. Not many people would like to admit to online dating. Through this recent study, Tinder has gained more popularity and it is proved that the app's purpose doesn't necessarily have to be dating but it could also start a few friendships.

Blog- Post Assessment

My favorite restaurant is Teri Teri and, although there are many locations as of today such as 73rd street on Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen an 34th street on Bergenline Avenue in Union City, the original restaurant is located on 55th street on Bergenline Avenue in West New York. Teri Teri's is a Japanese restaurant known for it's wide variety of Japanese foods included in their menu with their own twist on the tastes. I personally love the bowl or the plate which is the combos they are most known for. The bowl is a combo that offers salad, rice, 2 California rolls, and you can pick between chicken breast, chicken teriteri, beef, or unagi, which is fresh eel. The plate offers slightly more by including 4 pieces of tempura and a side of edamame. Lately, the restaurant is known mainly for offering the best bubble tea in town. Many people would describe the meals served as far from traditional.
If this restaurant ever closed down, I'm not sure where I would go. I've been to various Japanese restaurants but none of them seem to surpass Teri Teri's. Their food doesn't taste like the traditional Japanese food they'd serve in a restaurant. The dishes seem to be more flavor-filled than regular food, therefore their food matches no other. I've been to YO! Sushi in Paramus and Miyoshi in Hackensack and I'm not quite satisfied with their food. Eventually, I would become accustomed to other Japanese restaurants if Teri Teri's were to close down but I would always miss the unique taste of the food served at Teri Teri's.

Teri Teri's is a restaurant that started off as a small business and eventually grew into something more popular. It could be considered a chain and not a family restaurant because their is no significant ancestry through which the restaurant has been passed down. The food is absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys Japanese food. The food is very affordable and it is also flavorful! Go visit a Teri Teri near you!
